JD PhD

This 3 year law degree is offered at law schools around the country and is designed specifically for future lawyers. This type of degree program trains and educates its students on the ability to analyze a client’s legal issues, represent that client to the best of their abilities, research the case and how it pertains to current laws, developing a successful legal strategy, and they must be able to uphold and comprehend the responsibilities that a lawyer has. Law school molds their doctorate students to become the perfect lawyers, capable of representing and defending clients alike.

JD PhD students can earn their degrees online as well as on-campus. There are some very well-known online law schools that give you the chance to earn your degree from your home computer. These degree programs are from accredited universities and students are usually expected to enroll in a full-time program, which usually lasts around 3 years.

If you have a keen interest in law, but don’t necessarily want to become a lawyer, there is an alternative degree program that you can earn called an Executive Juris Doctor (or EJD).
