Georgetown University is probably most well known for their top-notch academic programs. Secondly, they may also be well known for the infamous staircase featured in the 1970s horror classic “The Exorcist”.

For those who aren’t exactly horror movie fans, rest assured that Georgetown has more to offer than just a set of stairs. Georgetown’s academic programs are divided amongst the following Schools:

Georgetown College offers undergraduate degrees in 30 majors, 40 minors, and 8 certificate programs. The SFS, MSB, NHS, SOM, Law Center, and SCS offer degrees at the graduate and undergraduate level in the fields in which the schools specialize. Georgetown does offer some online courses and degrees, but a majority of their programs are strictly campus related.

Georgetown also lists the following regarding Financial Aid
- Georgetown University practices need-blind admissions –applicants are considered for admission without regard to their ability to pay or their need for financial assistance.
- Georgetown offers need-based financial aid to meet 100 percent of the demonstrated financial need of eligible students.
- More than 55 percent of undergraduate students at Georgetown receive some form of financial assistance, and 41 percent of undergraduates receive Georgetown grant aid.
